Teri graduated with a D.E.C. in Commerce from Vanier College in Montreal and also has a Bachelor Degree in Theology from Masters Seminary in Peterborough. Prior to joining SSI she worked as a Youth Minister in the city of Toronto. After having her own child go through numerous years of speech therapy, Teri joined the staff as Intake Coordinator in 2006. Her personal experience enables her to relate to the many families who call in with questions about speech therapy and the various programs that are offered at SSI. During her free time Teri enjoys quality time with her family which often revolves around sports.
Sylvia received her education in the field of Psychology from the University of Manitoba. She is a certified Early Childhood Educator and also has education and experience as a nurse. Prior to joining the staff at the Speech and Stuttering Institute in 1996 she worked as an Early Childhood Educator and Program Coordinator in Labrador. Sylvia thoroughly enjoys working and playing with the children as they prepare for their therapy sessions. She feels that her personal experiences with her own children’s speech and language difficulties give her a unique empathy with the children that come to our centre. In her free time Sylvia spends time with her extended family and pursues her joy of dance.
