School Aged Program Information

The Speech and Stuttering Institute offers weekly therapy programs for school aged children between the ages of 5-14 years.  Groups are offered at both our Duncan Mill Rd and Downtown Clinics.  All children are seen for an assessment prior to their enrollment in one of the programs.

The  5-6 year old program and 7-9 year old program run for approximately 16 weeks.  The children participate in group treatment for 1 hour per week and parents attend the program with their children.

Children in our 10-14 year old program participate in group treatment for approximately 1.5 hours/week for 21 consecutive weeks plus 4 follow up sessions.

Occasionally a child may be seen for individual sessions if it is felt that this format is more appropriate.  This decision is made at the time of the assessment.

School Aged Summer Program Information

During the month of July, we typically offer a summer fluency program for children 9-14 years old. The children participate in half-days of group treatment for three weeks, Monday through Friday. Half-days provide children time to practice their skills. Follow up sessions are scheduled throughout the school year.

Registration is now open for Summer 2017! July 10-28. Space is limited!

To book an assessment, please contact Lea J. Ayuyao, Speech-Language Pathologist, (416)491-7771 ext. 220,
