9:00 – 11:30 a.m. PROMPT Technique Refresher
12:00 – 2:30 p.m. Case Presentations
Location: The Speech & Stuttering Institute, 2-150 Duncan Mill Road

PROMPT Technique Refresher (AM)
This workshop is intended for speech-language pathologists who have completed a PROMPT Level 1 workshop and want to brush up on their PROMPT technique.
- Review parameter, syllable, complex & surface PROMPTs
- Review vowel and consonant PROMPTs
- Practice PROMPTs at the word and phrase levels
Please bring your PROMPT Level 1 manual to the workshop, and have nails cut to below finger pads on dominant hand.
Case Presentations (PM)
Participants will be presented with a case and complete an SAO (Systems Analysis Observation) and the MSH (Motor Speech Hierarchy). Goals and objectives will be set and vocabulary and activities suggested.
Participants can bring a video recording of a client and the group can do an analysis, set goals and vocabulary and suggest activities. Participants can either present their case or show the video and Deb will lead the discussion.
We are limited to 4 cases (selected by order of registration). To present your case please bring a 5 minute recording of a client (good frontal view) with client producing assessment words and some spontaneous speech.
