PRESCHOOL SPEECH THERAPY PROGRAM

We offer speech therapy programs for children who are:

  • 2 and 3 years of age with delayed speech and language development
  • In JK and SK and have difficulties with their speech production skills

Children are seen for an initial assessment to identify their speech and language needs to determine whether therapy is recommended and to identify treatment goals.

Individual speech therapy sessions are typically scheduled once a week for 45 minutes and are provided in 10 week blocks. Progress is evaluated over the course of treatment to review the child`s current needs and priorities. Children may attend consecutive therapy blocks.

Speech Camp Information

Camp Summer Speak is for children who have completed their JK or SK year and would benefit from additional support for oral language, early literacy and speech development.   All activities are group based and provide opportunities for children to develop language and literacy skills, and to practice carryover of speech goals they have been worked on prior to camp.  Prerequisite skills for this program include an ability to maintain on task behaviour in adult directed group activities with minimal support, age appropriate attention and receptive language skills.
